It is always good to know more about the other people at races -- most of their names are unfamiliar to me because I am a newcomer to Rhode Island (and a newcomer to being in contention for winning races). I did not know this about Anne Kugler, so thanks for informing me! I did know about another 40+ legend in the race, Claire, who won the Derry 16-miler, the Martha's Vineyard 20-miler, and has run a 3-hour marathon... It is nice to be among such company.Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07847331467246659997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9451012.post-47995988343512313182010-03-12T11:30:59.972-05:002010-03-12T11:30:59.972-05:00Hi. Two comments, though - Trish looks like she could be your (wee) age (20s) ... and re: Anne K. (also almost 20 years older than you), when she lived in NYC, she was a running hero here, known for her Olympic-qualifying marathon (and world class half marathon) times, as well as her humility and laid back attitude (the shorter races, esp. 10Ks, are her self-admitted weaknesses). Maybe you should be flattered to be amongst such company (whether you beat them or not).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9451012.post-85449668342539460802010-02-24T19:56:10.344-05:002010-02-24T19:56:10.344-05:00P.S. I followed your profile to your blog and see that it may take much longer than until St. Pats to heal. What terrible luck for it to happen. I eagerly await your return and wish you a speedy recovery (i.e. a recovery as speedy as your running).

If I'm not mistaken, your picture is from the Ronald McDonald Women's Classic, right? I wish you had been -- I think I am also in shape to break 18, but haven't yet risen to the opportunity. I hope you will be at the St. Pats 5k!Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07847331467246659997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9451012.post-83956677623567554732010-02-24T14:07:00.438-05:002010-02-24T14:07:00.438-05:00hhhhmmmm not sure whether to be flattered or insul...hhhhmmmm not sure whether to be flattered or insulted here. I was planning to run the Super 5k, and probably break 18mins given workouts prior to the race, but I came down with a foot fracture the week of the race.
BTW, I race in Target knee sox, can't afford the oxysox.
trish hilleryTrishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07826853377007051050noreply@blogger.com
